Notre Dame Watch
I thought Brian Kelly was a good hire for Notre Dame and I won't be surprised if the Irish are a tough opponent next month at the Coliseum. But Notre Dame's 35-17 loss to to Navy reinforces a great stat from the Pete Carroll era.
During Carroll's first eight years at USC, he only lost one game by double digits and that was an 11-point loss to Notre Dame. Kelly's already lost two games by double digits (23 points to Stanford, 18 to Navy) in his first eight games.

Big Balls Pete!
Big Balls Pete!
Big Balls Pete!
Another Trival stat is that between the loss to Washington State in 2002 to the loss to UCLA in 2006, the Trojans lost only 3 games in over 50 games (Cal 2003, Texas 2005, Oregon State 2006). Late in the NFL season last year, all three opposing QB's were starters (Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay), Vince Young (Tennessee) and Matt Moore (Carolina).
@SECTION 12 ROW 52, great stat. Wonder if Jacquizz Rodgers, Jake Locker, and Andrew Luck will all be as effective in the NFL. Even LaMichael James of Oregon. Not bad players putting up big numbers against USC.
@ Dr. Wannabe, STFU.
@ Section 21, row 102, don't forget your disclaimer "all accomplished while CHEATING" just like Barry Bonds and Mark McGuire (former trOJan) home-runs - ALL TAINTED!!
@ Bruin Rob (Moron), your stupidity continues to entertain me! Week in AND week out!
Hahahahahahahaha
I think it's interesting that no matter who the coach is Neutered Dame continues to play wishy-washy football. The program is cursed for dumping Ty Willingham...kinda the same way sUCLA discarded Dorrell.
FT, Karma's a bitch! Plus when was the last time Neuter Dame played defense?
