Do you expect after the conference realignment that we will play one Oregon school and one Washington school each year? Or do you expect that we will play the two Washington schools one year and the two Oregon schools the next? Any insights?
How are the coaches preparing differently (schematically) on defense to face the Oregon offense? I know they've been running and doing sprints to keep up, but are they doing anything different (substituting more DBs in for LBs to cover 4-5 wide sets)?
It has been mentioned in the past how Steve Sample's hair miraculously got darker during his final few years as president, until it was dark as oak. Now a few years ago when he was the Dean of the College of Letters and Arts, didn't Max Nikias' have a head of grey hair? And now that he is the president, how did it become a wonderful deep mahogany? Do scientists realize the secrets to the fountain of youth are hidden with the office of the President of USC? Or do you think it is in a magic room at Mudd House?
Hey Scott the way Boise St and Ohio State beat Oregon was by winning the time of possession battle, forcing them in 3 and longs, Ohio St. winning some one-on-one matchups, and Boise St. out-flanking the Ducks with a great game plan. Do you suspect SC to do the same? what do you expect Monte Kiffin to dial up with his defense? What would you do? What does SC need to do to win?
Thanks for the forum Scott!
Scott:
What is the status of Patrick Hall? Couldn't we use him this week against Oregon?
If USC beats Oregon, who big will this victory rank amongst USC? Thank you in advance.
I've been hearing a lot about lack of conditioning being a problem for the defense. Why exactly is conditioning a problem? Are players playing more plays than normal in a game because of lack of depth? I don't think we are having a problem with time of possession.
Also, what happened to Chris Carlisle? I thought he was always regarded as one of the top S&C coaches around and he got a lot of credit for the superb condition of the players during the National Championship years.
Can USC hold Oregon under 50?
Scott, any word in how recruiting went over the weekend? Are we in the hunt for any top LBs or OLs?
Do you think the "no huddle" should be banned?
Does Lane Kiffin ever order Ed Orgeron around?
What do you make of Barkley calling out Oregon on Twitter?
Do you think the Trojans are going to rock Oregon like Velasquez did to Lesnar? Or is this just going to be BB material for the Ducks?

Scott, after the games in which SC's defense was unable to stop the opponent, did Monte Kiffin claim it was the players who were unable to perform their assignments or was it his defensive alignments that were in effective?
On Friday 10/22 on Petros' radio show, Petros' dad gave his strategy for the USC defense. Could you please explain what he said and what you think of it?
Hi Mr. Wolf, do you think USC can hold Oregon under 80 points this Saturday?
Those fat, slow, overweight, out of shape DLinemen and LBs will be so gassed after the first series, they will have to have oxigen tanks on the USC sidelines.
A question about comments on this blog: Obviously everyone has the right to have an opionion, but why doesn't any block the users that continues leaving inappropriate and vulgar comments on this blog? BruinRob above ^ constantly draws butt holes like this (_!_) saying to "Taste it!" and makes excessively ridiculous comments. Can this be fixed in any way? Thank you!
Scott, I know it's just a guess, but yours is better than ours. What are the percentage chances of our appeal being successful, and when do you think we will know? Thank you.
With Kiffin's positive comments about Oregon's offense and looking at going to the spread more in the future, do you think he's warming to the idea of a running QB after Barkley, or just spreading it around to more receivers and no fullback?
Scott,
What I don’t understand is that since the Garrett firing PH has been bemoaning for all that will listen “we need to win the right way”
If I recall we had 1 rogue player who went behind the collective back of his university, team, and fans. While Alabama, Florida State, North Carolina, insert your big time program … who committed violations with some degree of university knowledge, never publicly criticize their own.
In addition what has he accomplished, if I remember correctly his biggest accomplishment is firing Chad Krueter. Shouldn’t whatever success that USC earns with its current coaches in all sports be attributed to Garrett as opposed to Pat Haden AKA “the anointed one?”
Humbly Yours
Chize
why would the pac-12 want to disallow non-conference games outside of september? i see that the sec does allow such games.
Could you exlain your logic voting TCU #1, and Michigan State #13, in the latest AP poll.
Would you agree that the primary weakness with Chip Kelly's office is that it leaves the quarterback vulnerable to big hits from defenders? There's no spread offense in the NFL because the QB wouldn't make it through the game. Oregon's QB is tall and skinny, so if USC can punish him, even if he gets rid of the ball on the option, mistakes and turnovers will follow.
Scott,
Not sure if there's much out there, but is USC targeting possible transfers from other programs to fill holes before scholarship reductions start? For example, where did Brandan Beal (LB) end up? USC was hot on him when he left high school; did USC keep tabs or talk to him when he got his release from Florida?
And, how does this stuff actually work?
EXPLAIN
which redshirts have impressed you?
Wolfie,
How did your personal ballot differ (if at all) from the final preseason Pac-10 basketball media poll?
