Pick The Score

OK, it's time to pick the score for the big USC-Oregon game. Our resident prognosticator, Evelyn Taft of KCAL-TV, picks USC but will not give a score to avoid jinxing things. So away we go.

USC 50 Oregon 49

USC wins on 2pt conversion in 2nd OT

Barkley passes for 300 yds and 3 TDs

Oregon rushes for 250+ yards, but fast-paced offense is slowed by refs having to wipe the ball because of soggy field

Beat the Ducks (who are damn good)!!

Fight On!!

By the way, Ore111 is welcome here anytime. He has class unlike trolls from some other teams.

Oregon has owned the second half all season long.
Can USC keep being competitive late in the game?
I'm pretty sure that USC will start out all pumped up.

thanks for the support uscmike

Oregon 48, USC 28

SC keeps it close in the first half, on the strength of the dynamic duo of Barkley and Woods.

But the Ducks wear the Trojan defense down in the second half with their no huddle offense.

@BruinRob

A couple days ago you wrote, "ONE MORE THING: don't forget that UCLA is academically ranked #11 in the world...USC can't even be found in the top 100...graduating from USC is a waste of money...a degree from Devry or University of Phoenix would probably get you farther than a SCum degree. LMAO"

Did you see the link I posted above? Here it is again in case you conveniently ignored it: http://collegeapps.about.com/od/sat/a/pac-10-sat-scores.htm

Sc will continue to get better students and better professors, so expect the gap to widen in the next decade. Public universities are already at a huge disadvantage, chiefly because the charitable contributions they receive from alumni are substantially lower than private schools. Now couple that with a failing UC system and you have tremendous problems.

Let's just say that it's not easy attracting top notch professors to a school that is bound by indefinite mandatory paycuts and furloughs for tenured professors, especially when the cost of living near campus is already outrageous. But I don't blame you for going with the academic ranking jab - there are not many other cards you can play at this point in time.

USC 44, Cal State Eugene 34

Fred Flinstone (Chip Kelly) suffers a stroke after the ducks are down by 7 at half. As in the Stanford game, his blood boils because he is behind and he accuses the refs of being in Kiffin's pocket on national TV. Not being a Trojan, he is not fined, but has to spend some civil jail time (similar to several ducks) before being released.

The sideline pictures bleed in the rain and the players are forced to read signals or read instructions, leading to confusion and slowing the O.

BTW...

USC is planning a Red Out for this Saturday's Homecoming game against Oregon.

All fans are asked to wear cardinal to turn the coliseum into a sea of cardinal

as a show of unity and to support the team in its biggest game of the season!

This game will be televised nationally as the game of the week, if everyone

participates in the Red Out it will be an awesome display of Trojan pride.

ESPN Gameday will also be returning to USC this week and they have publicly

questioned the passion of USC fans & challenge you to make a strong showing.

Gameday begins airing at 6am outside the peristyle end of the Coliseum. All USC

fans are encouraged to attend.

Please tell your friends about the Red Out to help get the word out and to

ensure the Coliseum is painted cardinal from top to bottom!

Oregon 111, we now, for the first time this season, have 8 healthy defensive lineman who can play. Same goes for the secondary. The defense should be able to Smash Mouth for 60 minutes. Prepare for one exciting, well played 4th quarter on both sides of the ball.

Your Ducks have not yet earned the PAC-10 "Chalice." The "Chalice" resides in Troy, with us. We win tomorrow, and the Ducks become another notch on the handle of our Golden Sword of Victory, and slink back into oblivion.

Fight On !!!

@RustyBuckets, no doubt USC is a great school...but when globally ranked it does not do well vs. UCLA, even UCIrvine and UCDavis ranks higher than USC.

Last year UCLA had the most applications in the country - in fact it set a record - last year, over 57,000 applicants and 49% (about 28,000) of them had a 4.0 GPA or better, yet only 13,000 incoming freshmen applications were accepted. Like I said USC is a great school, If my kids don't get accepted there, I would sure encourage them to USC as well, the academics has nothing to do with athletics.

About a Phoenix degree, well I hope you get my sarcasm.

I think we all can agree to pass on any left over Pete Caroll motivational DVDs.

You make a little lunch money with this site by selling advertizing, so why not "invest" a little?

How about a game ball? Yes, a game ball.
Not "THE" game ball, but an actual ball used in the game.

That would generate more interest in this website and therefore more advertizing dollars. Everybody wins.

How great would it be to show your buddies the USC game ball you won by picking the score and being able to toss around a pac10 game ball out in the parking lot at lunch break???

I know the answer is NO, but the football was better than my other idea:

Amanda's undies - way too perverted and creepy, but what a great souvenir
