Poll Matters

| | Comments (16) |

Interesting results in today's top 25 polls. The Harris Poll does not give USC a single vote but Hawaii, which lost to by 13 at home to the Trojans, gets 21 points. The coaches' poll also gives USC zero points but Hawaii nine points.
Meanwhile, USC received 80 points in the AP poll and finished 26th, just out of the poll.
I would say the coaches' poll might reflect some sort of lack of respect for Lane Kiffin but the Harris poll is a mix of former coaches, administrators and media.
UPDATED: And there you go. I momentarily forgot USC is ineligible in those polls. Which is why I like the AP poll.

This is the worst, laziest, uninformed post I have ever read by Wolf (and that is saying something). USC is ineligible for the coaches poll due to sanctions and since the Harris poll is contracted with the BCS, I believe they can not vote for USC either. There is no bias against Lane.

Step your game up Wolf.

Aren't we ineligible for the Harris and coaches' polls because of our sanctions?

I'll be interested if SC beats Oregon, where they will be ranked?

This is the worst post EVER. In 12 seconds I just googled "Harris Poll USC". #1 result - A post from THIS BLOG

"While we already mentioned USC is ineligible for the coaches' poll, USC is also ineligible for the Harris Poll. That means the Associated Press poll is the only poll that appears willing to include USC this season."

Both posts credit Scott Wolf. So are these posts really made by incompetent ghost writers?

And all 3 polls gave zero points to Scott Wolf.

That is a pretty amazing mistake, Wolfie.

But I have listened to Wolf on the radio and he is somewhat knowledgable about SC football. Of course, he has more resources than we do.

Sugary sweeeet! You're right SW, they are killing coach Kiff right now.

Jeff Sagarin's computer formula has SC #17. His formula makes 1/6 of the BCS computer ranking.

Your freaking kidding right? Is this a joke? Are we on candid web camera? Wolf! you are a donkey-the harris poll and coaches poll are part of the BCS formula and we cant be factored into either of them. Worst journalist EVER!!! God your annoying! Props to Newports finest MB7 and Mr. Woods on an outstanding first half. O-line looks solid and most importantly healthy. If we cant stop them lets out score them. Fight On!

But, the AP poll allows lazy journalists to vote. No, the only meaningful, somewhat accurate poll is Sagarin:

BTW, Sagarin has Oregon #1, 'Furd #2, and USC #17.

Embarrassing..........Of course I'm talking about the "Fat Chick" website advertised on Wolf's blog.

I believe Scott blogged about SC being inelligible for both those polls multiple times. Me thinks Scotty got black out wasted witch Whitney after that SC trouncing and has forgotten the past 3 months. Just like SC has forgotten that we even lost two games. Our losses don't count b@tches...

Wolf sucks...and so do his incompetent "ghost" writers. The one who draws little asses to represent his face is funny.
