USC recently received a commitment from defensive end/linebacker Charles Burks from Edison High in Huntington Beach. When Burks was first offered a scholarship, it was contingent on him enrolling in January because USC wants to sign nine players at the mid-year break.
But the Huntington Beach Union High School District will not allow Burks to graduate early so he will have to sign in February.
does that mean USC removed the contingency or he'll be signing elsewhere?
i understand the HB school district makes it very difficult to graduate early due to state dollars tied to the number of student enrollment days.
USC removed the contingency, that's why he committed.

Yeah this story is probably a month old already. Why does it seem like scott is so out the loop when it comes to recruiting?

You can't blame Gargamel for that. He was busy counting smurfs when he made the call on CJ coming here. We just got Gable instead of Spiller.
