USC is now selling group packages for No. 1-ranked Oregon and arch-rival Notre Dame? Times really have changed.

It's the sound of all those "so-called fans" jumping off the wagon.

I don't think its a stretch... I think the University is reaching out to its fans due to the situation at hand. This is LA not some small hick town that only has a University to give it a life!

How true. People in this town have so many options with not only their money, but their time, so if you are not an entertaining sports team you will be dead.

Just look at the half-empty Rose Bowl for ucla football, or how attendance is way down for mediocre ucla basketball.

Where are all the SC fans that were chanting "Fight On" claiming they've always gone to games? A couple bumps in the road and the rats start jumping off. Typical.

More tickets available for us, less gang bangers and bandwagon jumpers to deal with. Look on the bright side.... Fight on !

Scott- How much do YOU pay to go to a game? Or DONATE? Answer is the same: ZERO

oh Rodney, you got that right!!! behold the indigenous Southern Cal bandwagon rats!!! it makes me sick thinking about how these "trOJies for life" tore into poor Joe "the Toe" Houston for missing one lousy field goal:

"And get Houston off the team. Pathetic."

"Who is a worse kicker, Joe Houston or Ray Finkle?"

"Too bad SC doesn't have a better kicker."

"It's not Houston's fault-40 yards is out of his range."

"40 is out of his range".......WTF. He is a college kicker at USC.

"Joe sucks. Our high school kicker is better than him."

"We all knew Houston's kicking would cost us a game. There you go"

"...and you dont try a FG there when you know your kicker stinks."

There are only 3 home games left. It seems to me that $150 for seats not already taken by season ticket holders (i.e. not premium seats) isn't a bad deal for USC or fans. Attendance will be the key factor that determines if "times have really changed". It should be a full Coliseum for the Oregon and ND games. If the ASU games sells well as a result of the package...more power to USC. I don't see this as a negative, but thankfully I'm not wearing Scott Wolf glasses.

BTW, it's too bad the name "Inside USC" is already taken or a blogger with legitimate inside sources might be able to deliver on it.

Ghost, On average, how much time per day do you spend reading and posting on this site?

Gnossos,

At the rate we are going, they may all be back real soon. We looked pretty good last week. Let's hope we stay on track.

Jethro: not as much as i'd like. currently, i usually get up and check for my Morning Buzz. then i conjure up a real zinger, post it, and go into work at the candy factory.

i check the blog all day long constantly, and now through the sugar sweeeeeeet miracle of cell phones, i can also get wolf's tweets to hold me while i have to be away from the computer.

but my main problem right now is i am only able to be on the blog about 85% of the time overall. some of the Ooompa Loooompas at work are now hooked on wolf's blog and you wouldn't believe it when we all start doing our wolf howls!! it really freaks some people out!!!

We actually have 4 HOME games left, Dec 4 at our winter home, The Rose Bowl! Two years ago I was there, great seats on the 15 yard line, only $22.00 a piece. Fight on!

Thanks Scott -- this is a great deal, and this is the time when we should really be supporting our team. Although it hasn't come to that point, I remember having a (student) season ticket in the bad old days of Paul Hackett and JRII, and we still had a great time at games, even when the outcome was in doubt. There's nothing like being at a game when everyone thought you would lose and then you win. We haven't seen those days in a long time, but here we are with Oregon coming up. Fight on!

Ghost,

Yeah, I said "get Houston off the team." And I'm absolutely a Trojan for life. I will never get rid of my season tickets, even though I'm currently spending most of my time in New England and not Santa Barbara. I applaud your copy/paste efforts, sir. And while I wish we had a kicker like yours, I'm pretty sure we have one on the way (:
