USC 4th
The NCAA released its Graduation Success Rate today for players who entered college in the 2003-04 academic year. USC tied for fourth with Arizona State. Here's the Pac-10 standings:
Stanford --- 86
Washington --- 82
Cal --- 65
Arizona State --- 61
USC --- 61
Washington State --- 60
Oregon State --- 56
Oregon --- 54
UCLA --- 52
Arizona --- 48
Note that this is not the APR, where the NCAA can take away scholarships for poor graduation rates.

How about them Bruins?
Is this football-only?
And if they started in 03-04, then even a fifth-year senior from that class should have graduated in 2008. Does the NCAA always take two or three years to compile and release such data?
Or was the NCAA too busy putting all its efforts into really grilling Lloyd Lake on his story?
WHAAAAT!!!! THE bRUINs FINISHED SECOND TO LAST IN THE PAC-10?!?!
This is definitely the main topic of discussion at the next cadre convention at Chucky Cheese!
we know that nobody fails at the Farm...it's not too impressive that the players graduate...what might be more impressive is to compare the % with vanilla students graduating.
ps: I think the college should be on the hook to get a player through college once they use up their eligibility...
ROFLMAO. F..u...c...l....a (Thank God for Ariz)

Given the number of guys who left early for the NFL and the guys who transferred out for playing time, 4th place isn't that bad. I wouldn't have guessed that SC would be in the top half. UCLA is pretty shocking.
Bruins not only suck at foozeball. They suck at schoolin too! Guess that makes sense. I mean, just look at yer boy chucky bucksh*t....
LEZGO!!!
You freaking ignorant trOJies really make me laugh. LMAO I wonder if these trOJies graduating actually attended their "Ball-room dancing" Classes or their "Basket Weaving" classes...It would be interesting to see what these trOJie players majored in, it would be hilarious to see.
USuCk really helped these ball-room dancing and baske-weaving majors achieve their graduation, now maybe some of you hot shots like KNOBBED can hire these guys to load and unload trucks or the university can perhaps help these guys secure janitor jobs at the university.

ONE MORE THING: don't forget that UCLA is academically ranked #11 in the world...USC can't even be found in the top 100...graduating from USC is a waste of money...a degree from Devry or University of Phoenix would probably get you farther than a SCum degree. LMAO
Someone needs to take their prozac.
Sugary sweeeeet scoop wolfman!!! Here comes BruinRob, UCLA "Dynasty", Westwood Rob, & co!!!
Inside USC attracts ALLLL the bRuins!!!
AUUUUUUUU-WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Nice triple post, jagoff.
All this tells me is that UCLA holds it's players accountable and we don't give free passes to athletes. Meanwhile over at SUC, athletes are lining up to take a bogus Spanish class at LA Community College. How is the good Senora? Did Pete the Cheat just pay her off straight up or did he line her up with a "job" at Heritage Hall?
BMRob thanks for the completely made up numbers. Do the research or don't post. Back here in the real world, 4th ain't bad, but 61% graduation rate, considering how few players really do leave early for the NFL (we pay attention to the stars but most don't even get on the field much less distinguish themselves enough to merit NFL attention), this isn't really up to USC's standards. And 42% of basketball players...phew. Have to give UCLA props, graduating 70% of basketball players is outstanding, especially for a blue chip program. It's much harder to graduate basketball players than other athletes, having worked in higher education for 18 years. The NCAA started posting graduation rates publicly and sanctioning schools that did not reach certain minimum standards mainly because some schools' basketball programs had graduation rates of UNDER 1%, yes under. NCAA is not in my good graces now, but anything that they do to ensure that players graduate is ok in my book.
Is this the same Bruin - Cerritos - Westwood Rob that didn't even go to UCLA? Oh that's right, you have season tickets and now you are entitled to shoot off your wise ass mouth. Geez, buying season tickets at the half sold out Rose Bowl every year makes you a UCLA spokesperson. What a friggin clown! Tell us all, what JC did you go to? Oh that's right , Cerritos, former dairy capitol of southern California. How does cow dung taste?
Trojan 70, don't get us mixed up. I have to keep reminding everyone that I am not Bruin Rob or UCLA Rob or Cerritos Rob, but I support the efforts of Robs everywhere to preach the truth to you Troxans -- no matter how many times the same message has to be posted!
Also, I did actually go to UCLA. And you guys should not be bashing junior colleges, since you're going to be poaching juco players to shore up your half-strength football team for the next several years.
Westwood Slob -- Here is a new chant for you: We're number 8, We're number 8, We're number 8.
Oops sorry, my mistake. You're not that high up.
There is some seriously distorted logic being used on this blog. I don't know if SC having a higher graduation success rate percentage in football is cause for celebration. SC has been accused in the past of being extra lenient with its academic standards for its football players and for pushing football player through, whether they legitimately passed their classes or not.
If anything, this might make the NCAA looked closer to see if USC players are really passing muster or if the football program is pulling strings.
