not at all a surprise. any other choice would've been. alabama will be the favorite in their remaining games - including the iron bowl v auburn and the SEC champ game. that would leapfrog them over boise and the winner of utah/tcu game.
i also think they'll be a slight favorite v oregon in a potential BCS title game. of course there are a few games to play first.
