Did You Know?

ESPN wanted USC play its game with Oregon on a Thursday night? USC declined the offer. Parking would be non-existent on a weekday on campus, which has 7,000 parking spots for Coliseum games compared to 5,000 in the stadium area.
I'm sure Larry Scott will keep pushing Thursday night games in the future as part of his ``modernization'' efforts with the conference. But it's a horrible idea for USC. And probably Washington, which caved in for its game next week with UCLA.

Thursday night games still feel like something you see from non-AQ conferences, or at least from the Big East, although I wonder if we would have felt the same way if we had beaten Oregon last year with no other competing games on TV?
