I'm not sure what Lane Kiffin's philosophy was going into this game.

With Lane, the unproven, reportedly getting $4M/yr, perhaps he's thinking of going off into the sunset. Semi-seriously, this is one of the worst USC football teams that I've seen since pre-Pete. The defense is pathetic. The offense is unimpressive. In the past, the question was asked about Barkley's signature game. This was it....sad, very sad.... I think that Lane will get another year...but without significant improvement, he'll be looking for another job. Personally, I thought that Garrett hiring Lane was the worst thing that Garrett did in a long and illustrious career (that includes the laughable baseball hire).

@jkstewart2 I have to agree with you 100%! This game reminded me of 1990 when, under Larry Smith, they went into Washington and were manhandled 31 to 0.

jkstewart, it pains me to say this because I cannot believe how badly we performed but I agree that Kiffin has not earned his pay...I literally gasped when i heard that Kiffin would be our coach and I thought it was a really bad move by Garrett (though I was not surprised because Garrett was on the decline). I haven't felt like this since the Paul Hackett years or before that.

LK's philosophy: "Just lose, Baby!"
Our offense and defense both stunk and I blame it on the players AND on the coaches.
