Pac-12 Schedule

| | Comments (6) |

Here is the statement released today for next year's Pac-12 Conference football schedule and every game and its date.

The Pac-10 announced today the 2011 Pac-12 football schedule and the eight-year rotation model used for future scheduling.

The 2011 season begins on Saturday, September 3 and culminates Saturday, December 3, with the first-ever Pac-12 Championship game. That game will be played at the home site of the division champion with the best overall conference record.

The 2012 schedule will include the same set of opponents as the 2011 schedule, with games played at opposite sites. Dates of those games are to be determined.

"We are pleased to follow the announcement of the Pac-12 North-South divisional alignment with the release of our 2011 football schedule, and a future conference football scheduling model that maintains important traditional rivalries, and will create some very exciting match-ups in our new 12-team conference," stated Commissioner Larry Scott.

So basically, we play Oregon twice a year in 2011 and 2012. Bring it!

So they split the Oregon/Washington schools on our schedule. Interesting.

I'm not sure if that makes it easier or harder on us.

missing both OSU at home(the venue we never lose to them) and WSU is not really doing favors to the W/L record. but that's a one year deal - and we get to play UW at home again - so overall i'm fine with this concept.

my only beef with some of the schedule rumors was not playing all three california schools every year w one bay-area weekender.

Would have been better to have Oregon and Washington on different years.
And ASU in September is brutal. It'll be 110. Last time they did this, they put the game on at 12:00 for TV, and people were dropping like flies.
@ Cal on Thursday also sucks. I guess the weekender is out for students and anyone with a job on Friday. And the Union Square rally the night before won't be attended by many.

Seven home games...good! Extra time for Utah to prepare after 1AA srimmage...bad! In fact, they will be preparing for USC the whole off-season.

November 26th should be arch-rivalry week for all PAC-12 schools. Of course, Colorado & Utah will have to learn to hate eachother exclusively...
