Penalty Talk

USC committed only five penalties against Oregon State. But four were by the offensive line and two were on offensive tackle Matt Kalil.
``I don't think we really got a rhythm going,'' Kalil said. ``We didn't play well as a group.''

The way SC played this game, it was not about rhythm. It was about playing to its capabilities. SC had better players on the field and with less injuries than the other team for God's sake. Monte Kiffin can't blame OSU's offense for being spread or no-huddled. It was a pro-set just like the kind he saw in the NFL every Sunday but full of 2nd & 3rd string college players that had its way with his defense. Lane Kiffin needs a better response than, "I was shocked". That's saying I did a good enough job preparing this team for the game. Uh Lane, nooooooo you didn't!
