As for the ND game, $80.00 to sit in Sec 29, I don't think so.

We purposefully decided to not go to the USC-UCLA game this year. It's expensive, parking on a golf course sucks, and thanks to the traffic, we wouldn't get home till after one in the morning.

It also doesn't help that they scheduled it as a night game, during the holiday office party season. Now we won't even get to watch the game live because we'll be playing nice with my husband's new co-workers.

Good question, why don't you rag on the Seattle Seahawks for the answer.

When was the last time that none of those three teams (Notre Dame, UCLA and USC) played in the post-season?

Whatever UCLA/ND game is at home is always at a premium higher than the regular run of the mill home game ticket price. It was this way as well when Ohio State played a few years ago, and possibly Nebraska if I'm not mistaken.

When the fucla game is at 7:30, is on prime ticket, and in December when the weather is problematical, why would anyone want to attend that game, with neither team going anywhere but to bed?
As to ND, both their season as well as SC's were done a long time ago.
This season they are just playing it because it is on the schedule - no value in the win/loss scenario this year.

some of you are trashing ucla and notre dame, but sc is staring down the barrell of a solid 5 years of mediocrity.

look at college football history, you guys were on top for a loooong time. what happens to teams that fall off, switch coaches, and get sanctioned?

@miguelito: you're the difference between USC and UCLA. bruin fans just hope for SC to come down to their level, because OBVIOUSLY the bruins haven't gotten any better. now you're all ecstatic about the Trojans being "down." Ironically, we have a better record and are looking at a winning season (seeing as Notre Dame and UCLA are left on the schedule).

small Michael - Who exactly do you root for, UCLA? Can you say "We're #8, We're #8, We're #8" or U-C-L-A, UCLA, Eighth, Eighth, Eighth! And heaven help them if they were to ever be good enough to have a hope of getting sanctioned.

As for mediocrity, if you want to look a little smarter, at least you might wait until end of season before you shoot off you mouth. 10-3 hardly seems mediocre...at least not as mediocre as your name, wee one.

Your description of the neighborhood surrounding USC is SPOT ON!! Sorry the community isn't surrounded by rich snobs trying to make themselves look superior to everyone (Westwood). Rather, USC is involved in the community it's surrounded by. I'm sure you know all about Pete Carroll's "A Better LA"!!! and I'm SURE you know USC is the #1 employer in all of Los Angeles!!! And I'm SURE you know about the Joint Education Program and numerous other community involvement programs USC is involved with!

@queenMoron, USC has no choice but to be in that neighborhood, that neighborhood as very expensive real estate comparable to where UCLA is today.

I do agree about USC being a great employer, my mom's neighbor has been employed at USC for 12 years and he received $45,000 from USC towards the down payment of his home.

As for "A better L.A." that was BS by Carroll, just another way to soften/cover up the image he was creating for himself as a cheat and a fraud. Why would he have cameras follow im at 2:00 AM, the dude was just an attention whore.
