Former USC wide receiver Mike Williams caught 10 passes for 123 yards so far with the Caesarhawks up 26-10 on the Cardinals in the fourth quarter.

Wolf - Do you enjoy having a reputation as a cynical, negative media hack who clearly has an axe to grind against Pete Carroll? If so, keep this up. It makes you look like an idiot. You will look stupider and stupider as Pete grows successful in the NFL..and it will happen.

Final score Seahawks 36 - Cardinals 18. Seattle is 5-4 and in first place in NFC West. I guess based on the way he writes, we should expect that if Scott Wolf coached Seattle, they would be 9-0. What a loser.

how successful was Pete against the Giants and the all powerful St. Louis Rams?
oh and let's not forget he helped put USC on sanctions and ran away for the big paycheck, but I guess idiots like you ALWAYS look the other way when it concerns Pete, huh?

First, thanks for calling me an idiot. This helps me understand that you either like WolfSh** or are one of his ghostwriter hacks.
Second, this is PC's first season at rebuilding a team in pretty bad shape, so time will ultimately tell how successful he is. For now, his team is in first place. You cannot argue that the Seahawks are in first, it is a fact.
Finally, no matter what the circumstances were surrounding his departure from SC, my main point is that for some reason, the fact-challenged sportswriter at the Daily News evidently has an axe to grind with Carroll because he spends a lot of time throwing digs at PC. This is irrelevant to most USC fans since Carroll is gone and Lane is now our coach.
The continued childish and petty barbs at Carroll mostly serve to make Wolf like like a bitter negative doofus...which he basically is.

well Free looks to me you seem to be the child because you constantly post on Scott's blog when I'm pretty sure he doesn't read nor care about any of your comments....so like I said, you are an idiot and the Internet loser that Scott talks about quite frequently...
if you don't like it, don't read the blog...but yet you come back EVERY single day to read it...
so I guess it's settled...you are the bitter negative doofus...enjoy your loser life :)

Rewind: Keep calling me names and keep avoiding my arguments. It confirms a couple things: I am on the mark and you are not too bright.
As for doofus Wolf not reading his own blog; Yeah right. Seems to me that Wolf is pretty thin skinned for someone who constantly throws barbs.
So what's your excuse Rewind. You come here to defend Wolf out of the goodness of your heart or are you just one of his hack ghostwriters?

seems like you are the doofus...you think Pete is a god when he bailed on the program and knew all along about Reggie Bush but did zero about it. So he knows people like you buy the hype and think he is a great guy.
Like the saying goes...a sucker born every minute and Pete bought people like you hook, line and sinker.
Seriously Free, keep posting and continue to make Scott's blog one of the most hit blogs on the Daily News website...it's a thing of beauty

and why do YOU avoid the argument about Pete?...are you worried that you want be able to be a part of his Twitter? or be a part of his Song of the Day? or that you won't be able to be his friend on Facebook?

Actually Rewind I don't want to argue about Pete. He's gone and in the NFL. I care about USC and Lane is our coach...doin a pretty good job now too.
If you want my thoughts as to why Pete left, I don't know enough about the inside reasons. From what I have read, maybe he got sick of crap from Garrett. Could be he smelled the fire of NCAA, but I doubt that is altogether it.
Maybe all the factors and the lure of big money finally caused him to get our of town.
Either way, he was awesome while we had him so I appreciate that and am willing to let him run off and deal with his own conscience.
As for Wolf, we are stuck with a subpar beat writer that --based on what I read-- thinks his opinions are really important. If you critically read his coverage, Wolf commits the gross Journalistic error of infusing his opinions far too much into his stories. He has neither the acerbic wit of T.J. Simers nor the strength prose of other solid writers. And from what I surmise, Wolfie does not get any inside info because he is too much of a malcontent to cultivate real sources.
I enjoy ribbing him because I think sports reporters take themselves too seriously. After all. he does work for the Daily News, not the New York Times.

Trojan Rewind can't seem to grasp that some of us might simultaneously (A) accept that Pete's time at USC brought consequences both great and terrible, and (B) have no interest in Wolf's lame sarcastic shots at the coaches of the Seahawks.
(In fairness to Wolf, this particular update was not a shot at Carroll or Bates).

I wish Ausberry was half the player that Williams was. BMW was one of the most dominant college football players I've ever seen - and was doing it as a true freshman and sophomore at that.
For the record, I'm with Thinker in this little tiff. No matter what one thinks of Pete's departure from the program or of the pathetic job he did as coach his last year here, he was the main catalyst of the rebirth of the Trojan Empire and every fan/alum owes him some debt of gratitude. I don't find it beyond the realm of possibility that he didn't know where Reggie's mom and step-dad were living and I think it's conceivable that he thought Reggie's ten year old Chevy was purchased through legitimate means. Neither Lloyd Lake nor the NCAA alleged that Pete had any direct knowledge of any agreement between the two parties, so the case against Pete is weak at best.
Also, it's true that Wolf's a putz.

Orgeron and Kiffin are recognized recruiting machines and PC was just unable to reload on coaching talent because his staff was constantly moving onward.
I won't blame Pete for everyhting. We sucked before he came, so I am content to let him be.
