Coaches' Poll

| | Comments (4) |

The coaches' poll is only transparent once a year at the end of the regular season. It is always worth taking a look at. For example, Nebraska coach Bo Pelini ranks his team eighth, which eight spots higher than the Cornhuskers' actual ranking.
In some strategic voting, Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh voted the Cardinal third and Wisconsin eighth, just to make sure his team got that top-four automatic BCS bid over the Badgers.

This is one of the reasons that the coaches poll is such a joke. Also, they don't watch or pay that much attention to the other games. They usually have someone else vote for them.

They should disband the coaches poll! The coaches don't watch the games and in many cases pass off their ballot.
The other factor is that it's totally political, to help your conference. The Big 10 coaches were most especially biased.

We need a playoff system to fix this BS system
