By no means a classic, but that will not bother Lane Kiffin.

Don't have much to say. Domination by a 75% healthy USC. UCLA is hot garbage.

Ya'll been trying so damn hard all year to enjoy our downfall and look what happen. We wounded and we still run this city!! Tell me how my a@@ tastes...

The appeal is coming in Jan... The tide is rising, turning cardinal, the moons are shifting, turning gold, the 4 & 5 star recruits are coming, the sanctions are lifting, it's Tommy Trojan stepping on the face of a baby blue bear. We coming back son...

My arrogance bucket is full!!!!

Craptastic for three quarters, I actually enjoyed the fourth quarter - if only because someone showed the offense a map to the endzone.

Things I liked:
Bradford beasting
Uptempo offense in the first quarter
Using Baxter in the wildcat role (as a passer no less)
The defense being aggressive at times, getting to Brehaut fairly regularly
The awesome audible pass to Bradford for the touchdown
Getting Mustain and Gable in for their last few plays
Seeing both teams in their home uni's

Things I didn't like:
The awful fake field goal
Too many "blocks in the back" on punt returns
A couple of terrible throws by Barkley
Letting the ruins get that garbage touchdown (nice mad dog blitz though - is this street ball?)
The questionable holding call on O'Dowd on the touchdown pass
I'm sure I'm forgetting things because through three quarters I was pretty pissed

All in all though, a decent win. 8-5 is very "un-Trojanlike" but this win took some of the bitterness from last week's loss to the Golden Domers. If not for that loss, I would have considered this season a success.

Quote of the night by Kiffin talking about Bradford after the game "Doesn't make me look like a very good coach for not playing him very much this season"

You can throw in not using Havili much either.

Chirp, Chirp.........the sound of crickets waiting to hear from the fucla trolls.
It's really sad. How can UCLA, who year in and year out recruit better than practically everyone in the Pac 10 but USC be so terrible.
Come on..........both schools get your sh*t together and make this game mean something nationally.

congrats, troxans played a good game. Bradford showed he was always the best trOJie back and Barks proved his grit and leadership.

No SW! This is a classic win for Lane Kiffin, Dad Kiffin, the rest of the USC coaching staff and the players. With a gimpy QB, the Trojans played 4 Quarters of dominant football for the first time in forever. Old Dad Kiffin's defense hit as hard as the 2008 Cushing, Malauga defense. Let's carry this intensity into 2011. And Allen Bradford, you were spectacular!

Recruiting should go very well, indeed.

No better way to end the season!

Fight On, USC Trojans!

I didn't like the drive at the end. Ugh. Our defense dominated for 3-1/2 quarters excepting one play, and then that.

The holding penalty on O'Dowd wasn't questionable at all, but it was a very smart play by O'Dowd to take down the D-lineman and not let Barks get smothered and knocked out of the game.

Allen Bradford, of course, was just wonderful. I look forward to Tyler carrying the load next year. If a bulked up and settled down Baxter can make a contribution, that would be great too.

Oh, and there is no doubt that Robert Woods is a gamer. The catch where he took the helmet to his head was tough beyond his years. My open forum fight club ranking for the year are:

1. Stanley Havili
2. Robert Woods
3. Marc Tyler

And that isn't leaving Tyler short at all. Pfight On!!

this was actually a victory for ucla - Weasil will be gone and they will get much better

This 'win' will keep Kiffen around for years.

Did any of you watch the civil war?

I bring it up only because of how well Casey Mathews played - that was his best game ever.

Point is: its not who you recruit at middle linebacker - its how well you develop what you have

Last point: did your team losing to ND put the Ducks at #2 (instead of #1) in the BCS?

Hey oregon fan what happened? You used to be a humble little guy around these parts but I guess the success of your "flavor of the month" quacks done already went to your head smh. And for the record it don't matter who's coaching the bRUINS we'll continue to run the city! Just make sure you don't lay a DUCK EGG in the championship game sucka!

oregon111........it is who you recruit. Carroll's son was an idiot in charge of recruiting.

OK trolls, it's mercifully over now, so stick your tails between your legs, keep your heads down and take your weak smack and all of that "cadre" bullshit back to your crappy little state school... sans the bell!

You don't even qualify to haul water into this Trojan huddle. The sound of your irrellevance is deafening!

Fight On

Trojan Conquest and oregon111, I never did understand why Matthews was not recruited. With all the Matthews that played for USC and went to the league, I couldn't understand the statement "he was not good enough to play for USC". Then as I attended the Duck beatdown of Troy, I am still hearing the PA on every other play "tackle made by Casey Mathews", I am saying to myself WTF. Thanks for letting me know who the bonehead who missed this kid, and where the F was Norton, LB coach.

Trojan Conquest Author Profile Page said:

What I heard is that they were high on Gallipo. OK, take both of them.

oregon111 Author Profile Page said:

the point I wanted to make about Matthews is that for some reason - he just got really, really good the second half of this season

The past 2 seasons and some of the early games this year, I was seeing him miss a lot of tackles. Now he is one of the best in the pac10.

I guess what I was getting at is a player's attitude and desire to grow is overlooked in the star ratings of high school kids.

And I should apologize for being more cocky than I deserve to be - your rivalry game was a good contest and both teams played inspired and the fans showed up and cheered.

So now the Ducks will go represent the pac10 and hopefully make the arrogant SEC fans shut up a little bit.

Good luck with next season.

@NDLarry - there are two types of fans in this world and ND fans are no exception: respectfull graduates who are fanatical about their alma mater, and insightful idiots looking to talk trash. There is one thing I can say with certainty, however, that only ND can claim: they are the only school with a coach who has the blood of a dead student washed all over his hands.

Look in the mirror at your own situation before you make yourself look like an idiot on an anonymous message board.
