It's obvious that the folks at the NCAA have seriously damaged their reputation. It's difficult to ignore the disconnect between USC getting hammered and nothing being done to the Bucknuts or Auburn. Institutional Control...what the f***?

I thought that those who enjoyed that NCAA statement might also savor this fresh press release from the government of North Korea:

S. Korean Warmongers Plan to Stage Naval Firing Exercises
Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- The puppet Joint Chiefs of Staff of south Korea plans to stage provocative naval firing exercises in the East, West and South Seas of Korea from Dec. 27 to 31, according to south Korean KBS.

The NCAA's statement is self-serving and false, and fails to address the disparate treatment received by USC.

North Carolina played an ineligible player for four games, but those wins are not vacated. Reggie Bush's stepdad made some deal with a would-be agent(no money exchanged) that renders Bush ineligible, which causes USC to vacate the UCLA and Oklahoma wins from the 2004-05 season. Why the different treatment?

Cam Newton's dad sought money directly from Mississippi St., but since Cam and his Dad received no money (yeah, right), Cam is not rendered ineligible. Bush's stepdad made a deal with a would-be agent that had no affiliation with USC. The deal was initially without Bush's knowledge. No money was initially exchanged. The NCAA inferred from a late night phone call that McNair knew Bush had a deal with Lake and Michaels. The NCAA ignored the obvious inference that Auburn paid $180K or more for Cam Newton's services, where his Dad sought $180K from Mississippi State, Cam's first choice because of Dan Mullen. Why the different treatment?

First of all the NCAA is corrupt and we all know it. Its a matter of time before this whole thing blows up in the NCAA face. The Buckeye mess is totally hilarious. Now think about it. Now Reggie Bush if your a good boy and you give the trophy back and admit your wrongs and we will sanction USC for two years. But Ohio State ? Auburn ? ? Put whatever name you want in there...NO DIFFERENCE !
