A: I do not know if Jeremy Bates will return next year. Funny thing is a USC coach asked me this season what the odds were Bates returns? So he's under scrutiny in the coaching profession, if maybe not Pete Carroll. I know if I paid Pete Carroll $6 million per year, I'd want the best possible offensive coordinator.

A: He did commit to Nebraska and is expected to attend school there in January but I understand USC spent a lot of time this month talking to him in order to see if he would change his mind.

Pete was one for four hiring OC's. Norm saved his rep and made him a hero ... Goatboy Kiffin, SUCKisian , and now Bates are turning him back into , well just Pete Carroll.
