It may be fleeting, but for the moment USC is number 1 on Rivals recruiting class rankings.

You heard it here first: Thomas will NEVER win a national championship. Good luck little Fer.

BTW, hope you break a leg or worse.

It's ok--still got a good haul. This just means that next year, we're gonna need to pick up some CB's.

It hurts to lose out on Black Mamba, since he seemed to be a very special talent. But CLK and staff did a great job overcoming sizable obstacles to replenish the cupboards at USC. This was a great day for USC football.

Really? Who cares at this point? If the sawed off runt cannot commit to SC then tell him to pack his crap and become a Duck. The program needs TEAM players not "me playa's".

same ol' nasty, bitter trOXans!!

too bad, soo sad, trOXans can't even enjoy a pretty good recruiting class because they got booty-busted again by their "recruits"....no one loses the big fish like Southern Cal!!! this year, they got "Seantrelled" by Lil' Mamba, and "Josh Shirley'd" by Torian White!!!!!

they even got "Pressley'd" by Grimbal!!!

Epic!!!!! you know, now that i think of it, you trOXans have reason to be nasty and bitter!!!

Bitter on, trOXans!!!

I'm pi$$ed because we won't have someone (i.e. Thomas) to carry out the water buckets and MAYBE return a put in the 4th quarter. Guess we'll go back to Wesley S. He's as big a pu$$y as the BLACK mamba. Typical.

and now word that the NCAA is sanctioning Kiff!!!

and Mustain is yet another dirty trOXan!!

somebody punch me, i mean pinch me!! i must be dreaming!

more sanctions?? on signing day?? that was a low blow!! it probably cost the trOXans WHite and Lil' Mamba!!!

"It's undoubtedly the worst UCLA class I've ever seen," said Scout.com's Wallace.

...just saying

Come on Chuck. Your heart isn't in this and it shows. This day is a dream for Bruin fans but not the kind of dream you want to have.

Good night for USC. For as much as I have doubted Kiffin on this board, he did a great job tonight.

It would suck to be a UCLA fan right now. There's nothing to celebrate over there. The only victories they can score are done vicariously.

I love the timing of the NCAA's release on Kiffin and the Orange Pride deal at Tennessee. You could just see the folks over in Indianapolis getting angry calls from coaches and AD's all over the country, bitterly jealous about this recruiting class. They thought the sanctions were going to break our school's back. Paul Dee talked about how Reggie Bush in an Impala is the reason why kids wanted to go to USC. Hey Fat Dee, you were wrong!

I'm sure the Ducks will love to have him, but they are overloaded at RB & cornerback

NOBS: he will get closer to a NC with the Ducks than he would with USC

USC will keep losing that one game a year that they should never lose - which is what keeps them out of the NC discussion

Also, Oregon runs plays that would utilize his talents.

I'm sure the trojan fans will boo the crap out of him when the Ducks play USC in LA.

And finally, USC is "University of Society's Criminals" thanks to Mitch

Do you think we can pick up a few Auburn recruits (i.e., Westerman) when the NCAA brings the hammer down on them?

If I wasn't in jail, NOBS, I'd go Demolition Man on you.

NOBS Author Profile Page said:

Yeah, right 111. YOU'VE NEVER WON ONE! hahahaha

You are full of $h!t. Typical O @$$hole.

Guys, losing Thomas hurts, but let's not wish bad on him. Because of him, USC nabbed some other high profile players. When a school receives a verbal from a prospect like Thomas, other prospects want to go there. Simple as that. While I wish he would have stayed with USC, in the end, USC wanted him as a cornerback, and he wanted to play running back.

That's just one more scholarship we can contribute to next year now. It's been a great day for USC.

Fight On.

Let's not wish bad on him? I guess... But the guy had his LOI in to oregon at 9:30 this morning. What does that mean? He spent the day trying to get our recruits to come with him and wasted our time. More importantly, he wasted the coaches' time. Luckily, we still got an AMAZING class. We're stocked.

So, it's all good, don't wish him harm or anything like that obviously, but it's pretty lame.

Marky Marc Author Profile Page said:

Darn right, I'm going to boo him every time he has the nerve to walk back into the Coliseum--and dance on the field he played his city championships on with adoring USC fans cheering him on. Why wouldn't any self respecting fan who got played like that? I have no problem if you want to go somewhere else...heck, even UCLA for all I care. But the way he went about it was so weak. It kind of felt like the college version of Lebron's Decision. By that I mean all the egotism and totally leading on SC to switch his commitment the last day out of the blue, spurning his friends and fans. Handled totally wrong. The city of LA loved him and he ditched them for Chip Kelly and the bright lights of Eugene? Ugh. I am sure he knows he could have been loved in LA, and instead will be yet another forgettable Duck.

At least SC has won that "one game" that has clinched multiple NC's, Oregon000. And of course, no Duck player has ever run afoul of the law (Jeremiah who?). By the way, nice run you guys got going in the bowl seaon (4-6 record in your last 10 bowl games, 2-6 in the last 8). Open your mouth when you guys do something other than fall flat on your face year after year on the national stage.

oregon111 Author Profile Page said:

yeah, I gotta say that drawing his decision out to the end of signing day was VERY lame

if a player from Portland or Eugene did that to the Ducks - I know people up here would be pissed

I hope that is the end of the drama from him. Going for that much 'me time' before he even gets there is not a good sign.

Now if the NCAA decreases our recruiting penalties things will be going our way heading into the 2011 season.

UCLA football?.............HA,HA,HA,HA,HA,....LOL,LOL,LOL,....HAR-HAR, HAR-HAR, HAR-HAR.....at the ONLY schlool to have a (2) time NCAA BUSTED CHEATING football coach running their "pro-gram" ;) Look at the crap they put onto the field of play! (start at the begining of this message and insert first 2 lines here). Let's not forget the ucla "playa's" who last year thugged up and took down a 98 pound chick for her PURSE! Word is it was because she had some tampons in there they needed, like all ucla football "playa's".

h
Here's a thought, maybe all the SC talent that LEAVES that program because they aren't going to play could walk on at UCLA and take all the starting spots...no wait..its RICK NEUHESEL...apparently all the dork bruin backers don't understand what the rest of the country knows: NO DECENT COACH OR PLAYER WANTS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR PROGRAM

...and....your chicks stand up to urinate (cuz they're dudes) the guys at ucla sit down to potty (because they are all squat pissing sissy's) and your "diploma's" are printed at the Charmin toilet paper factory....and.. even with sanctions the fact remains that every second of every minute of every hour of day of every week or every month of every year
USC remains a SUPERIOR academic & athletic institution with much smarter, better looking and higher paid contributors to society...

oh and one more thing....
