It hurts to lose out on Black Mamba, since he seemed to be a very special talent. But CLK and staff did a great job overcoming sizable obstacles to replenish the cupboards at USC. This was a great day for USC football.

It would suck to be a UCLA fan right now. There's nothing to celebrate over there. The only victories they can score are done vicariously.

I love the timing of the NCAA's release on Kiffin and the Orange Pride deal at Tennessee. You could just see the folks over in Indianapolis getting angry calls from coaches and AD's all over the country, bitterly jealous about this recruiting class. They thought the sanctions were going to break our school's back. Paul Dee talked about how Reggie Bush in an Impala is the reason why kids wanted to go to USC. Hey Fat Dee, you were wrong!

I'm sure the Ducks will love to have him, but they are overloaded at RB & cornerback

NOBS: he will get closer to a NC with the Ducks than he would with USC

USC will keep losing that one game a year that they should never lose - which is what keeps them out of the NC discussion

Guys, losing Thomas hurts, but let's not wish bad on him. Because of him, USC nabbed some other high profile players. When a school receives a verbal from a prospect like Thomas, other prospects want to go there. Simple as that. While I wish he would have stayed with USC, in the end, USC wanted him as a cornerback, and he wanted to play running back.

That's just one more scholarship we can contribute to next year now. It's been a great day for USC.

Let's not wish bad on him? I guess... But the guy had his LOI in to oregon at 9:30 this morning. What does that mean? He spent the day trying to get our recruits to come with him and wasted our time. More importantly, he wasted the coaches' time. Luckily, we still got an AMAZING class. We're stocked.

So, it's all good, don't wish him harm or anything like that obviously, but it's pretty lame.

Darn right, I'm going to boo him every time he has the nerve to walk back into the Coliseum--and dance on the field he played his city championships on with adoring USC fans cheering him on. Why wouldn't any self respecting fan who got played like that? I have no problem if you want to go somewhere else...heck, even UCLA for all I care. But the way he went about it was so weak. It kind of felt like the college version of Lebron's Decision. By that I mean all the egotism and totally leading on SC to switch his commitment the last day out of the blue, spurning his friends and fans. Handled totally wrong. The city of LA loved him and he ditched them for Chip Kelly and the bright lights of Eugene? Ugh. I am sure he knows he could have been loved in LA, and instead will be yet another forgettable Duck.

At least SC has won that "one game" that has clinched multiple NC's, Oregon000. And of course, no Duck player has ever run afoul of the law (Jeremiah who?). By the way, nice run you guys got going in the bowl seaon (4-6 record in your last 10 bowl games, 2-6 in the last 8). Open your mouth when you guys do something other than fall flat on your face year after year on the national stage.
