Time for the readers to have their fun. Maybe they discuss the top 40 times for LB Akeem Ayers (4.80) and DT Jurrell Casey (5.07) at the NFL combines.

Wolf would separate the raindrops in the storm. Free your mind of such false constructs.

So say Master Rob.

WWROB: your powerful words of Zen inspired wisdom are certainly a welcome addition to wolfman's blog!

in fact, i think i have noticed a decline in the cyber bullies usual witty re-par-tay, consisting of course of intricately constructed gay fantasies. hey if you're into that, more power to you, but to project such desires onto others as an insult is the ultimate in self-loathing!!

Another SC vs ucla segment?-- Is there any new fertile ground left to explore?

Actually, the latest news is pretty positive for both programs, with ucla in the running for the title and SC making a last-ditch effort to qualify for the NCAAs.

Oh, yeah, and spring football is right around the corner.

LJ as much as I enjoy hating your school, there is nothing I enjoy more then sending Pac-10 schools home without a win when they visit LA.....well, there is one thing I enjoy more and that is when the entire State of Arizona get's sent home without a win. Call me territorial, but I like that a lot.

As fans, it was a great week for us both.

I would have thought Ayers would have run a lot faster than that. 4.8 40? From a (supposedly fast) linebacker? That surprises me. Especially since I had Ayers going middle of the first round and being a beast in the League. Maybe he's not as good as I thought. Or maybe, the 40 time is just colossally overrated. I read that Jeff Maehl ran a super slow time in the 4.6 range, but had one of the fasted 20 and shuttle times. That kind of speed/quickness is probably a better barometer of football speed than running 40 yards in a straight line.

On the other hand, 5.07 is pretty impressive for an interior defensive lineman.
