On Ruffin

I was told by someone at USC today that latest commit Jabari Ruffin currently projects as a weakside linebacker but could easily grow into being a strongside linebacker by the time he enrolls at USC in 16 months.

I am in hope Jabari has speed... lots of it and can use it to stop plays. It used to be everyone wanted size & strength at backer. Now, you better be able to step on the gas and fly to the ball before the play developes the mismatch. I remember years back when Miami had linebackers that looked like beefed up safeties. You couldn't get past them as they would fly to the ball. Jimmy Johnson & current ASU coach Dennis Erickson used them pretty effectively. I am in hope MK is thinking the same thing here. Keep your committment Jabari, work on your speed and realize your dream of wearing cardinal & gold!
