I remember reading a few years ago on here that Yahoo Sport is not a credible source. Now that Oregon is being looked at as a potential cheater, Yahoo sports is now considered credible?

Clearly a violation. However, the Pac 12 will defend Oregon at all costs and the behind the scenes politicing has got to be just at a fever pitch. The Pac 12 cannot afford to have both SC and Oregon on probation at the same time because it would cost the conference way too much money in BCS money. Its not like there are 2 other programs in the conference at the ready to step into their spots in major bowl games.

The Pac 12 as a whole will not be nearly as good as last year. Ore was a one trick pony and Stan was a one hit wonder. Neither will have a better record than they did last year. SC was so-so and unless Matt picks it up, it will be the same. UW might be the most improved, but losing Jake will equalize their progress. The sleeper just might be Arizona. But come on, the one guy has a relationship with Chip Kelly and it's ok with the Compliance Dept? Right. Oh, and Fucla will be the same....horrible.

Oregon cheated. Most of these top 10 schools "cheat" (UCLA is not a top ten school, never will be). This is worse than Reggie Bush, because USC didn't pay Reggie to come to SC, he got paid while at SC, thus giving SC no advantage in getting Reggie or in Reggie's ability to make Bruins look silly on the field.

Oregon actually paid scouts to influence top recruits to come to Oregon. Clear cheating. Bowl ban, schollies, lock it up!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason for non banishment is because if you were to eliminate all of what you're complaining about, this board suddenly becomes a relative ghost town. The BS dominates most every discussion attempt now.

SW needs the hits to keep this thing going. He created the "USC v ucla discussion" as a meager attempt of sucking all of this bs into a commonplace, where it could fester and boil to it's un-ending attempt at climax. He then advises complainers to simply just avoid that discussion. LOL..

I actually enjoy the banter that comes from them. I wonder how many of us are on Gold's blog? But from what I've gathered from the "Cadre," the most positive newsworthy items for UCLA football this offseason are:
3) Black Mamba spurns USC
2) the Bruin e-revolution to "Veto Seto"
1) Mitch Mustain's arrest

All of those, along with getting rid of the genius Norm Chow and adding a crappy class will undoubtedly make for a fantastic UCLA football season in 2011! Makes me wish I was part of the "Cadre."

fact: it was the exciting play of the Ducks that made the last 2 classes of good HS players want to go there

the bowl win over Ok St was a decent win in a not very meaningful game - but we had great performances by Masoli & TJ Ward

I have to respond to Oregon 111's question (?) about whether SC choked in the Texas game. The answer is no. SC had a better than touchdown lead in the final minutes, but the defense did not have the manpower to stop Superman Vince Young. I always think a choke is committed by the offense, not the defense.

And the word "choke" is so overused in sports. For example, Oregon was simply beaten by a better Ohio State team in the Rose Bowl and a superior team in Auburn for the title. No choke was involved. If those teams had played 10 games Oregon might have won 3 of them, but no more.
