``Obviously we can't be better without him than we would be with him. But it's my job to replace Nic. I need to make sure we are better and I think we can have a better team.''

I will not be a fan of Coach O'Neill if he intends to follow in the footsteps of Coach Floyd in bringing in high maintenance one year wonders. You do not build a consistent program this way. You can't. It takes away from the bonding of the team not to mention the players growing together in their team play.

@dtksr1, KO didn't recruit Nik. Which one-year wonder were you referring to?

Just ready elsewhere that Nik is signing with Bill Duffy Associates, of notorious O.J. Mayo and Rodney Guillory history. I understand that USC and CKO can't control everything, but shouldn't an agent who screwed over the school -- and as far as I'm concerned screwed over the player by playing shady with the recruitment and causing him to enter the NBA under a cloud -- be organization-non-grata around USC? I'm going with another Nick -- at Alabama -- when he said the agents should pay when they do this kind of stuff. How are colleges making them pay?
