Is Pat Haden going to remove the "interim" label from Frank Cruz or is he currently doing a nation wide ( he should be looking at So Cal only ) for a new baseball coach?
A: I've always thought Pat Haden would go hire another coach but the baseball team's won five of six games and if it keeps this going, Frank Cruz might end up keeping his job.

Why in the world is Coach Sunshine willing to tolerate the antics of Ambles? Is the WR position in that bad a shape? It reeks of desperation, it's not like Ambles is the second coming of Jerry Rice.
A: This is a very timely question. Someone within the program made a simple observation: Kiffin recruited Markeith Ambles, so he is going to give him unlimited opportunities. Just compare the different treatment between Ambles and Brice Butler, who was a Pete Carroll recruit.

I'm not sure I like Ambles. If I was Kiff, I think I'd tell him to take a long walk off the Santa Monica Pier. But comparing Ambles to Butler and saying the big difference is that Kiff recruited one and Carroll recruited the other is not being genuine. Ambles is not off the team because no one has kicked him off. Butler IS off the team because he kicked himself off.
I think Kiffin has said publicly that he would consider taking back Butler if Butler were to come and ask. To my knowledge, he has not. Ambles, on the other hand, came back and ate his serving of humble pie when he wanted back on the team. If Butler wants back on, he needs to do the same.
Sureshot has it right. Butler also blew it when he told the world about all the places where he might be going and be "the guy." And THEN he ups the ante by announcing that he "might" consider returning to SC if Kiffin were to make the first move and come to him and ask. At that point anyone walking or drivng by the campus could hear the words screaming from Heritege Hall....adios muthuh.
But Ambles has screwed up twice since being given another chance. He should have got the boot for the good of the team.
