Armstead Update

Defensive lineman Armond Armstead met with doctors and was told he could do some running and weightlifting but more tests would be done before he was cleared for football. He will not return for spring practice.
Armstead said he was encouraged by the news. There are fears within the program he might have a heart condition but Armstead said doctors said his ``chest was fine.''
Lane Kiffin said the news was not conclusive until doctors give a definitive answer.
