Cantu Withdraws From UC Davis Search

USC assistant coach Bob Cantu, who was pursued by UC Davis for its head-coaching vacancy, decided to withdraw from the search and return to the Trojans for his upcoming 11th season.
“I’m not a candidate for any head-coaching job,” Cantu said. “I’m focused on recruiting and next season.”
Cantu recently handled the recruitment of Wake Forest forward Ari Stewart, who committed to USC yesterday.

  1. Best news USC can get. They come here because of Cantu, they leave because of Oneill.

  2. What a joke, passes on UC Davis to remain at USC. Believe all the players now except for Evan Smith are O’Neill’s /Cantu find. Floyd’s recruits of Mayo, DeRozan, Vucevic, Hackett, Lewis, Taj, and Stepheson vs. whomever left on campus now is one extreme to another.
