Kiffin On NCAA Hearing
USC coach Lane Kiffin went on the radio with Jack Arute and former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach, who went from being one of the most unfriendly coaches to the media to a member of the media.
Anyways, Kiffin was asked about the tension of last Saturday's NCAA hearing.
``It's not real tense,'' Kiffin said. ``I think it's just really trying to get through all the information so that everything can be presented in specific situations that everybody can understand what really happened and was there an intent to go against the rules or were there just honest mistakes made?''
And when will Kiffin find out his punishment?
``Well, I think they said four to six weeks, I believe,'' Kiffin said. ``I know at times it has taken longer. I think ours took maybe four months at USC, the last one. This case wasn't near as long in length as far as being in there. I think maybe the football aspect was four hours comparable to, I think, we were close to three days in the USC one. So I don't know the time frame. I just know what they told us.''
Kiffin said everyone at the hearing brought an attorney.
``All parties have attorneys in it, from the university to the head coaches, in this case basketball and football, to assistant coaches, football assistant coaches and basketball,'' he said. ``So [there are] a lot of people in the room, including (SEC) commissioner (Mike) Slive and a lot of others. I would guess there were probably 40 people in the room.''

Slow Lane Goatboy Kiffin ... sure it wasn't tense. The NCAA calls a meeting with 40 people in attendance and it's no big deal.
They are going to nail your dumb cheating arse ... and save USC football. How ironic is that , the NCAA doing SC a favor.
