Longhorn Network (Via Malibu)

Actor Matthew McConaughey narrates a commercial for the new Longhorn Network with the following words: ``We are Texas. It's not just a motto. It's the pride of the Lone Star State. Burnt orange in our veins.''
That must be why he lives in Malibu.

I think he's saying: You can take the boy out of Texas, but not Texas out of the boy. He lives in Malibu, because he works in Hollywood.
He's a Hollywood jackass...therefore he is full of shit! I was wondering...since McConaughey hosted a party at his house for members of UT's football team after the 2006 Rose Bowl...doesn't that constitute an "extra benefit?"
@jack: Only if he bought the blow.
Somehow, I suspect that he can afford to have a house in Malibu and a house in Texas.
How bout them longhorns! 5 - 7 last year???
BoscoH,
And the Hookers.
Are they telling us what their IQ's are?
My word this guy is a douchebag. As one who lives in Texas, I find the entire UT fan base to be insufferable know-nothings who cling to their love of UT as if it were their charge at birth. Of course, once UT starts losing, the flags, hats and shirts start to disappear and they become just like every other group of fickle bandwagoners. Funny thing is, I used to like UT before I moved here. Texans effed that up for me.
InsideUSC - Come for the tidbits about USC athletics. Stay for the photos of Longhorn fans kickin' it on the field at a BCS Bowl? Hell no. Scottie, please. This is like clicking on a link promising hot chicks in bikinis and finding a picture of two fat hairy dudes making out.
bazinga, could you post that link, please?
As for that photo -- girl looks like a Dorito in that outfit.
Peace & Amor, y'all.
AJTovar, Texas fans are not that bad.
It is the Dallas Cowboy fans that are the worst.
If they win, the fans get drunk and talk sh*t.
If they lose, the fans get drunk and cry about how their life is over.
Either way, they will tell you how long they have been a Cowboy fan and how long they and their ancestors have lived in Texas.
And when Texas loses, you will still see some gear.
When the Cowboys lose, it all goes away.
Wanna know whats funny?
After Texas won the NC, I saw a bunch of Texas hats up here in Portland. Now I don't see them anymore.
AJ, you are just starting your journey into what it is like living among Texans.
At least you did not move there from a state that fought them in the civil war. Then you really get tired of them
