This behavior is typical 2nd tie schools trying to compete w/ the big boys!
that's ashame, he would have fit in perfectly in south central, he and marc tyler could have roomed together.
man, El Lobo Mentiroso was all over this story like a fat man on a cookie!!
meanwhile, Tyler could rob Fort Knox and El Lobo Mentiroso would suddenly disappear "on assignment"...
I've come to realize that Wolf must have a Google Alert set for every single player that had committed to USC but reneged his offer. Seriously, it's pretty much the only news he reports.
I once saw stats that showed scholarship athletes had a lower crime rate than the rest of the student body.
In other words, the balance of the 18-22 year old student population is committing more crimes than the high-profile athletes.
So you're safer around the jocks than the non-jocks.
John -- it sounds like you're saying a couple hundred people commit less crimes than tens of thousands of people. Is that right? Or are you talking proportionally, so 100 average students vs 100 athletes? If it's the former, then... well duh. If it's the latter, then I guess it's the microscope affect. A smart person will keep his hands clean if he's being watched. Hopefully most athletes are at least that smart. A lot apparently aren't :P
You're going to have to give us the citation counselor. Either you made up that little factoid or some of these stats have been severly misrepresented.
I wonder what portion of student body "crimes" are D&D's.
Anyway, until some credible source is provided to back up your assertion, I'm going to have to call BS.
Hey Wolf - nice job on the Patrick Hall story. I suppose you are out of town on assignment right?
"Out of town on assignment" means watching EPL soccer at the local "pub" or fantasizing about some skanky English broad. I wonder if Wolf and Weiner are related?
mindshed, the term "crime rate," was used which means a percentage rate, but I could have been more clear.
AJTovar, there is no citation, it came from some statistical survey, although granted it was one taken years ago, but I do recall it because I was surprised by its conclusions.
Perhaps times have changed, or perhaps we hear more about high-profile persons because of immediate news available on the internet and a sensationalist-slanted press.
Floyd sure knew how to pick 'em, didn't he?
SI recently did a story on crime among scholarship athletes and I believe they came up with similar statistics as Brother John recited. I'll try to look up the story in between donut breaks and Conboy blow jobs.
PDTC, is it true that Potuto is good with her hands?
Once again, this confirms what I've always said, "USC only recruits criminals" thus earning their title "University of Stupid Criminals"
