Remember Day Kickoffs?
Maybe one thing Pat Haden can work on in the future is getting the USC-UCLA game to be a day or afternoon kickoff. It's the crosstown rivalry and deserves a day kickoff. I could list many reasons for an earlier kickoff but a new one followed last year's game: Less tailgating might prevent a stabbing.
Perhaps the new Pac-12 TV deal will mean ESPN can do games at an earlier hour than Fox's 7 p.m. graveyard starting in 2012. Somehow, I doubt much will change, though, in terms of start times.
It doesn't matter as much this year but AP voters on the east coast don't stay up for games that start at 10:00pm their time.

Didn't matter much last year (8-5) either, as Football U didn't finish in the top 25!
With transfers, non-qualifiers, suspensions, arrestees, and now...... (DRUM ROLL, PLEASE) SANCTIONS....it won't matter much This Year or for, probably, the next 10!
