A: Perhoaps this will be the toughest case for the NCAA because it will be forced to buck the shoe behemoth. I'm not saying Oregon deserves major sanctions but it will be a fascinating case just to see how the NCAA deals with it. And how many committee members might have potential conflicts of interest because their schools have shoe deals with Nike? Of course, Nike does not really Oregon, so there is no conflict.

A: No, I do not think USC has as good a chance of losing its first three games and winning them. Minnesota has a new coach who is better but still in transition. Syracuse doesn't impress me. Utah might be tough but until they play some games I'm going to be one of those wait-and-see attitudes about how they do in the Pac-12. They might be fine. But it's a new conference for them. And USC is still one of the better teams.

Allow me to clear this up. This has Bucket's fingerprints all over it. The puncuation and posting time of the fake Sam post fit his M.O. to a tee and then the angry responses, this time as ThaiMex were very predictable.
ChuckMex, Don't worry about anybody trashing the dead guy, everyone knows he was a shady character and anything that has happened here has only improved his reputation.
Of course the denials will roll in from all angles but they won't do any good. Bucket devotes more time than anyone here but for some wacky reason refuses to take the credit and resorts to lying.

Now we're finally getting somewhere. You suggesting nubsie is "RETARDED" sounds about right. I've suspected the same for a long time. YOU are 100% right when you criticize me for picking on a RETARD (your word, not mine), however I never really knew for sure if nubsie was "different"...I mean, after-all, he did Graduate/attend USC didn't he? (see where I'm going..."retards" graduating/attending USC?) What about all that time he spent as a go-fer in the Athletic dept? Maybe he's just a WHITE version of Ricky Rosas? (my sincere apologies, to The entire Rosas Family, because Ricky sounds like he's a very fine young man who has courageously fought his way out of a life filled with misfortune, unlike nubsie, who's just a DOUCHE Bag..).

I like how you jump all over the comment made by one of your boy BruinRob's Sam GiIbert usernames. If you really can't tell the difference, he usually forgets to link his name to the same Rey Maualuga youtube clip I do.
As far as the real Sam Gilbert, obviously I know that I'm not him. If I did then I would be defending the "dirty" UCLA basketball championships... either that or be laying in a grave somewhere. If you check the archives then you'll see that I typically call BruinRob's versions Sam Gilbert 3 and Sam Gilbert 4.
As far as besmirching my namesake. Are you really offended? If so, I can only see two reasons why:
1. You understand the importance of Papa Sam's involvement in the UCLA basketball program; that they wouldn't have won them without the players he "took care of." I applaud you if this is that case. If one is to celebrate those banners hanging in Pauley then one should celebrate Papa Sam.
2. Even reading the name Sam Gilbert makes you twinge with shame. It's just a constant reminder that every Bruin fan throwing stones at other programs is doing so from a glass house. This is to be commended as well, there are fans of every team that stick their heads in the ground and pretend they don't see the dirt behind the success.
Either way, even if it is only on a sub-conscious level, I congratulate you ThaiMex. Kudos on your acknowledgement of Papa Sam and his place in the history of UCLA basketball.
