of course what is TRULY amazing is the fact that 10 of the 12 schools BEHIND Southern Cal in the recruiting rankings have actually won a BCS Championship (with eligible players)!!!

Funny that Chucker Bucker should bring up underachievement... ucla ranked 17th in recruiting, but 61st in win percentage. That's a whooping 44 place difference! USC on the other hand, ranked #1 in recruiting and #3 in winning percentage – a modest two spot drop off. And the teams ahead of us in win percentage include Boise St. and Ohio State. Boise, as good as they are, clearly play a much weaker schedule than USC... and Ohio State was 0-2 against USC in that span.

So I'm pretty sure USC fans/alumni/etc aren't going to commiserate too long on "only" winning two AP Titles during the 2000's... even though we clearly could have won during the 2005, 2006, and 2008 seasons with a tiny bit more luck. Oh well, I guess we'll have to make do with our 2 recent titles while the baby bears play with their 1/2 title from half a century ago.

Can someone please explain to me how USC had the #1 #7 #2 #3 recruiting classes the last 4 years yet were killed by Oregon State last year, while the mighty Bruins beat? and how they barely cracked the top 25 in the final rankings?? that is EMBARRASSING!!!!!!!
