Wrong Pick?
No surprise that Lane Kiffin could not believe the media picked USC to finish first in the Pac-12 South Division. USC received 24 first-place votes while Arizona State received 13.
``Did Arizona State move to the North (Division) or something?'' Kiffin said. ``That completely surprises me. Especially with the player they have on defense returning, I don't know how they weren't picked ahead of us.''
Is he talking about the MLB who couldn't get in to USC?
i assume it was "player(s)" they have on defense - burfict, bolden et al. asu's problem is a new qb in a qb league - where just about everyone else in the pac is returning theirs.
ASU QB is actually quite good. They lost bolden, so that hurts. Thing is we OWN Erickson....

SCFTB1 - first time I've heard of Burfect not being able to get in at SC, from what I remember USC was butt-hurt when he and Manti Teo chose the other schools.

You would be incorrect on Burfict. Burfict would have had a difficult time staying qualified at USC and that had a lot to do with him picking ASU.
Manti on the other hand was a kid the coaches wanted badly. Losing him has hurt the D the last 2 years.
