Time to answer some questions.

How important was the Gio DiPaolo injury to our depth at OL?

A: It would have been nice to have him for depth because he spent a year in the program but ultimately I don't think his injury makes much difference. The line has enough depth now. The issue is quality and that's why the two guard spots are so important right now because no one is sure how good the starters will be yet.

When are the first teams going to seriously scrimmage each other? I keep reading the running backs are gaining big yards and the recievers are catching TD passes all the time, even though Barkley is still throwing picks. How can a coaching staff really measure where their players are unless they play the best against the best on a consistent basis?

A: There has been some 1 vs. 1 action in scrimmages which is when the offense struggled. Last weekend, the offense got to go against the reserves and that's when it scored the most points it has in any games.

Not a camp question. If McNair prevails in court that would mean that he did not know about Bush, how would that affect the NCAA sanctions levied against USC?

A: If he prevailed, then USC would need to use that judgment for future court action. But that would go against this week's edict from Max Nikias. So ultimately, it is moot.

If McNair wins, shouldn't the 04 BCS title be reinstated? Didn't Paul Dee give the wrong date anyway?

About if McNair prevails, why would SC have to go to court to force the NCAA to modify the penalties, Could they simply point out to the NCAA that the committee erred, the penalties are unjust and should be either canceled or reduced.

By the time McNair prevails in the snail legal system the sanctions will be over. Think how long it took for Lake to take a deposition.
