In this segment, a question about USC's tradition.

It is very sad that Coach Sunshine isn't up to speed on USC football tradition. Black socks, various uniforms, awarding special uni numbers to anyone ( 35, 55 especially ). Shouldn't Haden or JK INFORM him that their is a tradition at USC and cut the crap already. You would think with the way things are right now with the football program, he would be devoting more time to managing the team and less time with this stuff.
A: Kiffin's philosophy is that USC needs to do things that appeal to recruits. Of course, I'm not sure how much morning practices appeal to recruits. But he thinks USC needs to change to compete against schools that wear multiple uniforms, etc. The ease with which he got the socks changed tells me he would have gotten his alternate uniform if not for the negative reaction earlier after the issue was posted here a couple months ago.

A: I'm sure the university is embarassed over this. They make no mention of her regarding any trustees business. The board serves terms so maybe they are just waiting for hers to expire and than bidding her farewell. It doesn't look right now like she has any intention of resigning.

There is no "tradition" at USC in regards to numbers issued to players. As far as uniforms go, they are just like most major football powers...unis in SCHOOL COLORS that any fan can recognize. If there is a tradition, it is NO NAMES! Black socks suck...let them wear black jocks.
