Scott, Why does the RSS feed not feature full content, links, or pictures anymore? Instead it is an all text teaser. I've asked before and you've said you'll look into it, but it's still awful. What's the deal?
A: We've had a change with our technical support, so let me check again and post their answer when they respond. Sorry.

During the recent riots in England, did you notice how the blog's favorite city, Newcastle, was unaffected, remaining completely calm and practically yawning at the actions of those in other English cities?
A: They don't concern themselves with the nonsense down south especially when football season began that weekend.

Who you think is or was the most overrated recruit from the last 5 classes. Is it Barkley, McKnight, Griffen, who enlight me scott...????
A: In terms of hype, maybe Griffin because Pete Carroll said he could play in the NFL straight out of high school and could play tailback at USC. But I also think McKnight is right there because he was highly rated by all the recruiting sites and was clearly not as good as the hype. He's a good example of how hype takes over during high school and if you actually watch him play for a couple games, you wonder what all those glowing reviews were based upon.

You made mention that even Brennan "Fredo" Carroll could have even found a recent WR recruit. I know why his dad put him in charge of recruiting, he wouldn't argue with daddy. But just how stupid was this kid? PC and son totally neglected the OL for about three years, but was that on PC? his son? Ruel?, all? and why did they neglect it?
A: It was partially because of arrogance. Pete Carroll just thought he could get the best offensive linemen in 2010 so he wasn't too worried about signing only one or two in a class. And the other part was the lack of a strong recruiting coordinator. Ed Orgeron or Lane Kiffin would keep Pete Carroll focused by reigning in some of his impulses. This was not done under his son. So there were wild mood swings on certain recruits and a lack of discipline in making sure the line got what it needed.

Matthew - don't you think the powers that be at the Daily News would want you to click on the "teasers" as to increase their viewership on the website and thus increase their ad revenue? If visitors don't visit the website, and view (and click ads), that is one less stream of revenue for the Daily News to pay Scott Wolf, and have him do his job.
It's not "Fredo", it's Spaulding Carroll.
