Defense's Day (Or Night)

It is not surprising for the defense to perform better in an opning scrimmage. They have less to learn at the start of training camp. What was less expected (maybe) was Matt Barkley's accuracy issues. It looked like a game last season. On one series he underthrew Kyle Prater and overthrew Rhett Ellison.
Freshman Cody Kessler looked much smoother tonight than in practices. The defensive front 7 was impressive as Devon Kennard and Wes Horton sacked Barkley in the same series.
