A reader adds this to the USC-Miami connection regarding NCAA sanctions.
``At about the same time the NCAA sanctions were about to come down against USC, USC was in line to get the top offensive line prospects in the country, Seantrel Henderson. The sanctions came down and guess where that prospect went - Miami.
``There is more than just a slight possibility that Dee knew or had information that if the sanctions were harsh enough against USC that Seantrel Henderson would go to Miami.''

I have ALWAYS thought this to be the case, and with new evidence emerging about the program, it's now all the more likely and one can even suggest such without wearing a tin foil hat.
The plot thickins...
And you knew ThaiLadySpicBoy was sitting in Dee's lap giggling while he signed the COI decision....
I either "knew" or "should have known" that there would be beneficial consequences to my draconian actions.
Of course I either "knew" or "should have known" that drinking a gallon of pork gravy with every meal would have deleterious effects on my heart, but that never stopped me from pounding the pork potion.
If you believe this sinister plot...why isn't Henderson on the list of current players who received extra benefits...compiled by Yahoo and the scum-bag?
I am willing to believe that the NCAA was out to "get" USC after its run of success and the free-wheeling semi-pro style of fun-lovin' Pete Carroll, but the idea that it was all for the sake of denying USC Seantrel Henderson is still nuts.
Last I heard, Hendersen is out for the season...too bad :(
If he is out for the season with a injury, he should transfer immediately. He will be sitting out the year, anyway.
