Hubbard Memory

With the news that former USC president John Hubbard died on Sunday, he might be remembered as the biggest sports fan to lead the university and is most identifiable with the John McKay era.
My favorite story about Hubbard involved a USC-Hawaii game in 1978. Hubbard was so unhappy with the controversial officiating and received a penalty on the sidelines from the game officials.

I was lucky enough to spend time with Dr. Hubbard when I took his class way back when. What a guy. Terrible to hear this news and he will be missed. He was and always will be a great Trojan and a great person.
