Lane Kiffin's penchant for referring to defensive lineman Christian Tupou as Christian Tatupu reminds us of a couple other famous gaffes. There was the national championship celebration when Los Angeles City Councilman Bernard Parks introduced football coach Pete ``Carrot.''
And then there was the press conference when athletic director Mike McGee introduced his new basketball coach, ``Jim Raveling . . . George Raveling.''
You can hear that classic moment here by scrolling down to the Raveling entry.

The only problem with you "correcting" Lane is that you responded by saying Christian Tatupu was a linebacker at SC a few years ago. I believe his first name was Lofa.
