Nikias Says No To NCAA Redress

| | Comments (13) |

USC president Max Nikias said he will not seek a review of the NCAA penalties or sue the NCAA.
``I have determined that the university's mission is best served by moving forward at this time, without pursuing further redress," Nikias said. ``This decision followed an extensive review of all of our options and after consultation with many sources. We ask that the Trojan Family offer its utmost support to the student-athletes and coaches of the Trojan football team, confident that USC's commitment to the highest level of excellence in academics and athletics will not waver in the coming years.''

Dude, I must have nude pictures of Nikias and Haden. How do you not challenge my decision? It's hard to believe.

I tried every dirty trick in the book to screw over USC and still they sit on their hands.

Curious. Curious indeed.

These two who are afraid of the NCAA carrying out a vendetta. Ohio St.is going to skate with probation only. Paul Dee will die before he accepts any responsibility for Miami's upcoming death penalty. Max and Mike Rae's caddy are more afraid of the kangaroo court of the NCAA than they are of the alumni and the boosters. The Trojan family is getting screwed and all the president and athletic director two offer is more Vaseline.

Haden is just happy smiling for the cameras and making benign statements. As an SC alum I want someone that will fight for the school and call BS when they see it, not some pushover that is just happy reaping the benefits of being the AD that are available to him solely due to the generosity of all of us donors and alumni.

Max Nikias is showing his foreigner image in not truely understanding what this is all about in my opinion. This "we are above all this petty stuff" he & Haden are trying to sell is turning trojan supporters off. But it doesn't make any difference what Haden & Nikias say ... today. It has a hell of a lot of difference though if the NCAA doesn't dole out sanctions to all schools from now on, based on what SC got hit with. Then Nikias better change his tune or he will lose the respect of the Trojan fanbase.

Everybody better get ready for a lot more anger and frustration with Haden and Nikias, then. I predict that Ohio State and even Miami will be hit with lighter sanctions than those imposed on USC, and meanwhile Nikias considers the issue of the USC sanctions to be put to bed, I suspect. Nobody on this board is going to be happy with what they see in that regard during the next few years, aside from the trollish ambassadors from Westwood.

Yeah, try telling them that you support them when they have to play injured players because they don't have enough scholarshiped athletes on the roster.

Yo Neville Chamberlain...errr Max, just letting you know now that since the University's mission is best served by standing pat, and thus just moving forward, I think I'll just stand pat on last years general scholorship fund donation, and put this years funds towards a family trip to the Rioja wine country. Oh, and in case you were not aware, just watch the so called Fight On enthusiasm wane as those 30 schollys take effect and the season tickets totals get halved.
