Numbers Game
A rival Pac-12 coach told me this summer that Lane Kiffin would award freshman wide receiver George Farmer the No. 1 before the start of the season. The number doesn't really have much meaning except to Kiffin because Mike Williams wore it and he was Williams' position coach.
So now it's supposed to go to a star receiver, sort of like No. 55 at linebacker. But after 10 days, freshman Marqise Lee is probably the most impressive new receiver. So there is probably a good chance No. 1 will remain vacant.
What about Keyshawn Johnson? Didn't he wear #1 too?!

Don't forget Johnny Morton. He was a good representative of the number.
Kiffin is a moron , so he will mess up every tradition SC has anyway ... besides Riki Gray was the only star of those 3. The other two were nothing special.
