Too Soon To Talk
The Minnesota game is two weeks from today so there has been virtually no talk in camp about it. But I'm pointing it out because even though Minnesota is better coached than a year ago, this is a marvelous opportunity to play some people in a game USC should be able to handle.
So why not start Marqise Lee or Lamar Dawson or Aundrey Walker if someone is injured or no one else emerges? It is not really that big a risk. It actually makes sense in terms of getting some players experience for the bigger games, like the following week against Utah.

Overs and unders on Barkley interceptions 1 1/2.
I will take the under on picks.
How about TD passes? O/U.... 3.5
Did you stop to consider that if someone is injured or nobody else emerges, perhaps they would have to start Lee, Dawson and Walker? Gave that one a lot of thought didn't ya? I have to believe K will start his best available players.
Try this, Scott. Redshirt Lee, Dawson, Walker for the 2011 season, if at all possible. At Wide Out, give Prater, Butler, Flournoy, and Carswell a good look, especially Prater. Farmer should be the only Freshman on the 2011 roster. At Right Guard, consider Guertler and Coleman, should the 2011 1st Team All-American RG Holmes stay at Center. At LG, go with Galten, Martinez, or Kim. Redshirt Hobbi, Walker, and Martin, if at all possible. At MLB, go with Galippo, Dallas Kelly, or Cumming. Redshirt Dawson.
Scott, the PC magic of starting Rank Freshman isn't MAGICAL anymore. We have 30 fewer scholarships to offer the next 3 years then the rest of the PAC-12. Let's get it right !!!
Fight On !!!
USC barely squeaked by Minnesota last year, Minnesota is improved while USC had a better team last year...also USC was the #3 ranked team in the preseason poll while this year they are #25. Prediction? USC loses the game with a last second field goal...does that sound familiar?
