Two Camp Observations
No. 1) It seemed a little odd yesterday that Lane Kiffin almost begrudingly said Brandon Carswell would start if no one else emerged. Not exactly an endorsement for the hard worker. Why not get your two best players on the field and just flip Robert Woods over to the X position since Marqise Lee only knows the Z? Kiffin only tossed that out there when I asked if Lee could start at the X?
No. 2) Didn't everyone expect to be talking a lot more about George Farmer at this point?

Then you've got Baxter, Carlisle, and Morgan at RB and Barkley at QB. You have a bunch of young, talented guys. Can we have some aggressive play-calling this year? Let's cut down on the bubble screens and let'er rip!
Yes, please. Cut down on the short easy pass and let er' rip! I expect Fatt Barkley's TD/Int ratio will look something like 12:22 if that happens. It's going to be USC "legend" Dustin Frode getting picked and destroyed by JaManfred Jackson all over again.

Why the need to try and imply that Kiffin has it out for Carswell? Let's be honest, if Carswell was a legit D1 talent, he would have started from day 1 while under Pete Carroll's watch. Do you think coaches really hold off on playing the best guys? It's great that he's hard working. David Ausberry was awesome in practice too. I remember everyone tried to imply that Carroll had some sort of grudge against Aaron Corp. For as flawed as he may be, Barkley's been the best qb on our roster the last two years. Is there anyone out there who'd rather have Aaron Corp?
Goatboy Kiffin is so damn dumb , he doesn't know. The guy is a fraud. Enjoy the 6-6 season , at best.
