Uniform Update
Lane Kiffin said tonight USC will wear black socks at home games for the first time in school history. Kiffin let the players decide and said road games would be determined so black is likely.
Kiffin said players wore black in the past so it was not a big deal. But that was individual players who wore the socks against team rules.
And when the Trojans go to full pads in practice, expect to see white pants with red stripes for the first time. We heard in the spring those pants were considered for a game before Kiffin was forced to say he would not change the uniform.
Both no-big-deals. Who cares what pants are worn in practice, and the players have been taping their ankles with black tape over their shoes and socks anyway. I think Wolf is worried about the slippery slope.
I think Trojan fans are more worried about Wolf's blog than anything else....
I fail to see why you guys are so in love with your uniform colors in the first place. I mean, the only other time I see that color combination is when the circus comes to town and in the condiments at a hot dog stand. Ketchup and mustard is great on my burger, but it doesn't do much for uniforms.
I think when you see poll after poll rate UCLA, Michigan, Notre Dame year after year as some of the best unis in college football, you Trojans would be apt to try something new. Heck, even the Mighty Ducks of Eugene are at least trying to shake it up... and it looks like their unis landed them the Black Mamba.
But it appears you want to continue to hold true to your Yesterday U moniker, sticking with ugly unis, paying players and weak academics. Which reminds me TroBans, you see the latest Forbes university rankings? #165 or so I believe behind UC Irvine even. My god, that wasn't even a school 40 years ago.

Well stated Lawyer John. Hey FUCLA "Dynasty", are you serious with the bowl plans comment? The last five years your best shot has been the Eagle Bank Bowl, and you are going to comment on SC not being able to go to a bowl? Remember the last time FUCLA was in the Rose Bowl? I do. I was there. It was the ass whopping Wisconsin laid down on the gutless ones from Westwood. But the thing that stood out most about that game was how FUCLA gace back 4,000 Rose Bowl tickets when you got bounced out of the National Title game by Miami. That act basically sums up your sorry ass football program and fans, such as yourslef. The Rose Bowl, FUCLA's supposed home field, a sea of red. SC has been in 7 BCS bowl games, and yet to still shoot your mouth off about how "superior" FUCLA is. Go schedule a labotomy.

It's understandable that a moron with the screen name UCLA "Dynasty" doesn't understand tradition. USC doesn't change uniforms, they just win. UCLA football wouldn't know anything about National Championships, Heisman Trophies, conference titles, All-Americans, NFL Hall of Famers, and so forth. As a result, they spend their time on a USC blog! Yes, it's a sad life for a bRuin. Get their hopes up every year and go wild on the occasion they actually beat SC. Goes to show who's still who in Los Angeles.

Right On, Dynasty! Another place you see those color combinations is in the end-zones of aclu, michigan, and notre dame. aclu and ND as some of the best unis in CFB? And you go to a "hot dog stand" for a hamburger?
well, well! the unis are changing!!! what a blow to the Southern Cal "traditionalists" who for some reason think those hideous unis add any respectability to their soiled reputation!!

Wrong Conquest, it is a big deal. Usually it is two bit state schools who allow the students to destroy tradition. Black socks and black jerseys are a-coming.
Just watch, slick Rick will be down at Target buying black socks for his team.
