Armstead Redshirts

| | Comments (10) |

Lane Kiffin would not say if Armond Armstead was medically cleared by USC doctors when he announced Armstead would redshirt.
But if he was cleared why would he redshirt after only two games? And why would he stick around for a year and not turn pro if he is still waiting for USC doctors to clear him.
In the meantime, he will redshirt and have limited practice time.

This is good strategy if AA stays. He will help solidify the D-line next year with Uko and probably Wes Horton. My guess is Perry and D. Kennard are gond. Then we will have to rotate young guns in as well (Heyward, A. Woods, etc.). I like the plan...

His value is minimal today in the Pros, while with one more year of education/practice, his value could skyrocket.
Next year's team will be very good, he will get the recognition he wants/earns and potentially deserves, and will have next year to show it.
Win, win all the way around.

Next's years team will suck, no Barkley, Kiffin still calling the plays, how can it be better?

Next years team will not suck, I see them being a top 15 team. IF Barkley leaves...IF.....I like thr thought of Kessler taking the job. Woods and Lee at reciever...unstopable tandem. Entire O-line is coming back except for kalil, and add in Marcus Martin, Aundrey Walker and Cyrus Hobbi. Entire Secondary will be coming back, and if TJ McDonald leaves, ballhawk Drew McCallister will step in, Linebackers will be great with Pullard, Baily and Dawson. D-Line will have Wes Horton, Kennard (who I doubt will go pro considering he's not even really a starter this year), Uko, Armstead and mix in all that other young talent. As for RB, Baxter, Morgan or Carlysle will emerge, and the tight end tandem of Grimble and Telfer is going to be sick. You are crazy for thinking the team will suck next year

This is win win! He gets stronger and healthier, he continues learning and participating in the system on the practice field and in the classroom, he assumes a highly respected role as a mentor not only to the underclassmen, but to his little brother whom will be playing on his D line right beside him! He'll also help to answer some of the probable depth issues that the D line may most likely suffer.

bwahahaha...this is perfect, perfect for UCLA that is. So disgusted is the family that once Urban Meyer is hired across town Armstead the Younger will join him.

Special Education Jones! I have seen this wacky wildly "urban to UCLA" rumor elsewhere this week! Oh boy are the Bruins getting silly high on adrenalin fueled shock of constantly losing. In the words of Jon McEnroe, "You cannot be serious!"

Check him out at 0:17, he is addressing Bruin nation!

Urban Meyer at UCLA? Brother Sped, are you working on some kind of fantasy novel about an alternate universe? Urban Meyer will expect top dollar. He will not accept payment in Neuheisel Nickels.

Wolf can you count? Armstead has missed three games already and would not be ready for ASU this Saturday so that is 1/3 of the season gone. He is needed more for next year with the loss of Harris and Christian Tupou on the inside. Still no report on what his medical problem was or is to my knowledge.
