What's The Score?
Here is what Richard Gardner, the sportsbook manager for Bodog, said about what score he recognized for wagers on the USC-Utah game.
``When they changed the official score to 23-14 in the USC-Utah game we regraded all the wagers as this was the official score of the game by the NCAA,'' Gardner said. ``This does occur now and again in various sports such as boxing or MMA, but the rules in those particular sports are the ringside's decision is final for wagering purposes.
``In football if the score is changed on game day that is what we go with according to our sport-specific rules.''
But Caesar's Entertainment Co. went with the 17-14 score because its house rules say the score on the field when the game ends is what gets paid.

The score was 23-17 on the field. It was miscommunication with the press box that resulted in the 19-17 score. USC bettors should e paid.
