Add Farmer
How much would a decision to play George Farmer against Cal be the fact that the Trojans (Lane Kiffin) realize the schedule is getting tougher the last seven games and a better won-loss record might be more important than whether Farmer playing only seven games is a waste of a freshman year?
It's what someone does to try to cover their A$$. Kiffen is getting good at it.
Didn't Rodney Peete come in the game the first time against Cal. That one worked out pretty well.
Just great. Baxter will transfer, and Farmer will cut into Carlisle's playing time. Pretty soon we'll be left with Morgan, McNeal and plenty of fumblitiis.
We already have plenty of running backs. The defense is the problem!
Farmer played CB and S in high school also...why the heck doesn't Kiffin move him to that side of the ball, so we have some playmakers on defense?!
That is also a very good point SCDDS. M. Lee was a safety in hs as well, but looks like he's not moving from WR, so why not put Farmer there. Next year Lee and Woods will leave few catches for Farmer and if Prater emerges there will be even less.
One thing to consider about moving Farmer to defense... He doesn't want to do it. More than likely, he would transfer if we switched him. I'm not down with that at all.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have one of these guys on defense... just not happening unless it's Lee which, at this point, doesn't seem likely.
