Whats up with Dillon Baxter? Is he just too slow for the college game?
A: He is not to slow. The coaches would say he doesn't know all the assignments or doesn't work as hard as they want in practice. But he did work hard in training camp and then barely played in the first two games. Since then he definitely feels demoralized. With Marc Tyler hurt, he might be necessary against Notre Dame but we'll see if Lane Kiffin agrees.

Is it time to make Curtis McNeal the starting RB? He has been the most consistent RB this season when allowed to play. Thoughts? As always, thanks for the forum, Scott.
A: He could start with Marc Tyler hurt. I think the question is his durability. Before the Cal game, he took advantage of playing defenses in the second half that might be a little worn down. I personally would like to see more of Amir Carlisle and Dillon Baxter.

it appears, numbers wise. that the Woods-2-Barkley connection was significantly cooled off at CAL. Do they redeem themselves in South Bend or do they continue to trend down?
A: Cal doubleteamed Woods most of the game and he still could have had two touchdowns with better passes. I think Notre Dame will also doublecover Woods especially if Marqise Lee is less than 100 percent. But he should still be able to get plenty of opportunities.

Ther are the tight ends to throw to when Woods is d- teamed, if Lee is out.
