Kiffin Fined $10,000
The Pac-12 came down hard tonight on Lane Kiffin's comments regarding the officiating of the USC-Stanford game. He was fined $10,000 and reprimanded.
``The Pac-12 has specific rules that prohibit our coaches from making public comments about officiating, and this prohibition speci!cally includes comments that create doubts about the credibility of the Conference's officiating program," commissioner Larry Scott said.
A one proud program reduced to whining about officiating. What a shame.

LOL!!! Who do you think those shrewdly business-minded folks of Pac 12 take sides with? USC? None of you really believed the Conference would let USC ruin the chance of Stanford winning the crystal trophy, did you? Oh, come on. It's almost a common sense. What would the Conference do with USC that has no business in going to any bowl games this season? Of course they had to make sure to have Stanford win in the scenario. It doesn't a genius in conspiracy theory to find that out.
Watching the replay, I could clearly see what Kiffin was so upset about. He told the side judge that he wanted time out and you could see the side judge responding, "You called time out." You could then see that side judge telling this to the referee and you could see the referee shaking his head. Presumably, then the referee decided that there was no way Kiffin could have called time out within 1 second.
@realtrojan, I agree with you 100%. Luckily for the Pac-12 McNeil fumbled the ball and it was the end of story...I bet the Pac-12 had sigh of relief.
@BruinRob I'm not sure how much you are disliked around here, but I gotta give it to ya.
